So, I’ve been messing around with this watch, the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride. I mean, who needs a regular watch when you can have one that tracks time on Mars, right?

First off, I got my hands on this thing. It’s made with grade 2 titanium, feels pretty solid. Some folks online were talking about synchronizing the hands with the digital time, and yeah, that’s on page 6 of the X-33 owner’s manual. I did find that manual online, it was a piece of cake.

Then I started playing around with it. It’s cool, it really is. I like the size and weight, it’s not too heavy, not too light, just right. I even saw some chatter online about people being offered one by their OB. Sounds like a sweet deal if you ask me.

I dug a little deeper and found out it’s made in conjunction with the European Space Agency (ESA). That’s pretty neat, I guess. They say it anticipates humankind’s next giant leap. I’m not sure about all that, but it’s a nice thought.

Now, I also stumbled upon this bit about counterfeit Speedmasters. Apparently, you gotta watch out for incorrect subdial spacing or placement, and inauthentic tachymeter scale or bezel markings. This one seems legit, though. The tachymeter scale is sharp and perfectly aligned with the dial markings. The quality and finishing on the case and bracelet are top-notch, at least to my untrained eye.

Oh, and I also found this random tidbit about a tiny De Ville watch. Not really related, but hey, it’s a watch, so I read it.

Anyways, I managed to set the time, both Earth and Mars, which is kinda cool. I mean, who else can say they know what time it is on Mars? Not many, I bet.

  • I got the watch.
  • I figured out the synchronization.
  • I checked for authenticity.
  • I set the time for Earth and Mars.

So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer. It’s a cool piece, definitely unique. And hey, it’s got something to do with the European Space Agency, so that’s a plus in my book. If you’re into watches and space and all that jazz, you might want to check it out.

End of the Story

All in all, it was a fun little project. Learned a few things, played with a fancy watch, and shared my experience. Not a bad day’s work, if I do say so myself.
