This here watch, the Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s somethin’ else. Ain’t never seen nothin’ like it before. They say it’s a fancy watch, real popular. I heard folks talkin’, sayin’ it’s like those Jaeger-LeCoultre watches. But cheaper, ya know?
I seen pictures, it’s got two sides, like two watches in one! One side, it’s just a regular watch, tells the time. The other side, it’s got all these little dials. They call it a “chronograph.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Probably for them rich folks who like to time things. Don’t know what they need to time, maybe how long it takes to drink their fancy tea.
Now, this JLC Reverso, I heard it’s a good one. Good for, what they call, “investment.” Like puttin’ your money in the ground and watchin’ it grow, ‘cept this here’s a watch. And the lines on it, they call it “Art Deco.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d see in a museum. I guess it’s supposed to be pretty. It’s all straight lines and such. Not like them flowers I grow in my garden, all curvy and colorful. But I reckon some folks like that kind of thing. This watch, it’s for “mature” people, they say. Well, I’m mature. Been around the block a few times, seen a thing or two. Maybe this watch is for me. But this Imitation one, it’s for folks like me who ain’t got all that money to throw around. It’s got the same look. It’s like those people that buy the real deal. They are rich, ain’t that right?

This Reverso watch, it’s a rectangle. Not round like most watches. Makes it stand out, I guess. Like a sore thumb, but in a good way. And fittin’ all them little dials in a rectangle, that must be hard. But this Imitation, it’s got ’em too. All packed in there, nice and neat.
I seen a fella wearin’ one of these Imitation watches the other day. Looked good on him. He was wearin’ jeans and a t-shirt, not all dressed up. So I guess you can wear it with anything. That’s good to know. Don’t need no fancy suit to wear a fancy watch, even if it’s just an Imitation.
This whole thing, it’s got me thinkin’. Maybe I should get me one of these Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph watches. It’s like havin’ a little piece of that fancy life, without spendin’ all your money. And it tells the time, too. That’s always useful.
They say it’s like a story, this watch. Two sides to every story. And this watch, it’s got two sides. Makes ya think, don’t it? Maybe that’s why they call it a Tribute. A tribute to somethin’ or other. I don’t know. But it’s a good story, this Imitation watch story. A good story indeed.
