This here bag, they call it Prada Galleria, Saffiano somethin’ or other. Small one, mind you. They’re makin’ it again, seems like. Remake, they say. Pricey little thing, I tell ya what.
Now, I seen a lot of bags in my time. Toted ’em around full of this and that. Feed for the chickens, flour from the market, you name it. This Prada bag, though, that’s a whole different animal. Ain’t for haulin’ chicken feed, that’s for sure.
They say it’s made of leather. Fancy leather. This Saffiano leather, all pressed and treated special. Not like the old leather we used to have. That was tough, that was. This here, it’s all smooth and whatnot. Supposed to be special. Different from that full-grain leather. That’s what they call it. Full-grain. This one’s all treated, they say.

This Prada Galleria bag, it’s a small one. They got bigger ones, too, I reckon. But this one, they’re callin’ it a “micro” size. Tiny little thing. Good for carryin’ your lipstick and your pocketbook, I suppose. Not much else.
Folks like to buy these things. Show ’em off, I guess. Make ’em feel good. Nothin’ wrong with that, I suppose. Just ain’t for me. I’m happy with my old feed sack. Does the job just fine.
They launched this bag a while back it seems. 2007. That’s a ways back. Still around though. Must be doin’ somethin’ right. Some women like it. Chic women, they call ’em. Thinkin’ women. Whatever that means. I reckon if you got the money, and you like it, then that’s all that matters.
But me? I wouldn’t spend my hard-earned money on somethin’ like that. Too much fuss. Too much money. And for what? A little bitty bag that ain’t gonna hold nothin’ but air and dreams? Nah, I’ll pass.
