Got a new watch! It’s a Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar. Looks super classy. I really wanted to buy this one, and it was quite a journey.
First, I started looking around, checking out the watch online. The silver one looked amazing, and so did the blue. And there was the eggshell beige one, very classic. I read that the case size is 39mm and it’s really thin, only 9.2mm. Looked perfect in the photos, but I needed to see it in person.
So, I went to a watch store. It was exciting! I asked to see the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar. The guy at the store was really helpful. He showed me the watch on a leather strap. I tried it on, walked around the store with it for a few minutes. It felt really good on my wrist, comfortable and not too heavy. The way the case and bezel played with the light was just awesome.
Then I started thinking, is this the real deal? I mean, is Jaeger-LeCoultre really that good? I heard people talk about it, but you never know. They say the Reverso and Master series are top-notch. But I wanted to be sure.
I did some more digging, checked out some forums, and saw people talking about replicas and stuff. Someone asked about a 34mm Moonphase version, and another was wondering if this model is considered “NWBIG” – I guess that means “Not Worth Buying In Gen”? It got me a bit worried, not gonna lie.
But after trying it on and seeing it up close, I was sold. I decided to go for it. I bought the watch with the leather strap, but they also had it on a steel bracelet. I figured I could always order the strap later if I wanted.
Why I Chose It
- The look is amazing, very elegant.
- It’s thin and comfortable to wear.
- The quality seems really good, even though I’m not a watch expert.
- It felt special to own a piece like this.
So yeah, that’s my story of getting the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar. It was a bit of a process, but I’m really happy with my decision. It’s a beautiful watch, and I feel great wearing it.
