Okay, so here’s my little adventure on remaking that PRADA Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Tote Bag.

First, I got really into this whole idea when I saw this bag online. It’s a remake of a 1995 design, pretty slick. I thought, “Hey, I could maybe try to make something like that.” It’s called the Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Tote, and it looked like a fun challenge.

So I started by looking everywhere for info. I found out the real one is made of this Re-Nylon stuff, which is cool and all, but I’m not a big company, just a dude trying to make a bag. I looked at a bunch of pictures and read that it has a zipper pocket on top, chain straps, and this little triangle logo thing.

Finding Materials

Getting the right materials was the next step. I couldn’t get Re-Nylon, obviously, so I went with some regular black nylon I found. It’s not the same, but it’s sturdy and looks okay. I also needed some gold-colored chains and a zipper. I ended up buying those online. It took a lot of searching to find a good one.

Putting It Together

Then came the hard part – actually making the bag. I used my sewing machine, which I’m not a pro at, but I can manage. I followed the basic shape I saw in the pictures. It’s kind of like a soft rectangle. I sewed the sides, added the zipper on top, and then attached the chain straps. That was tricky, but I figured it out eventually.

The Logo

The Prada logo was a whole other thing. I’m not about to make a fake logo, so I just left that part out. It’s not a real Prada, just my take on it.

The whole thing took me a couple of weeks, working on it here and there. It’s definitely not perfect. The stitching could be better, and the shape isn’t exactly like the original, but I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a decent-sized tote, and I can actually use it.

So yeah, that’s how I tried to remake the PRADA Re-Edition 1995 bag. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot about sewing and bag making. Maybe I’ll try something else later, but for now, I’ve got a new bag that I made myself. And there are some flaws with this bag, but I think it looks okay.
