This here bag, they call it Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Mini-Bag. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Big name, Prada. Seen it on them moving picture shows. Now, I ain’t one for fancy things, but I gotta say, this one here, it caught my eye.
They say it’s a remake. Like they took an old one and made it new again. That’s smart, I reckon. Like patching up your old quilt, making it good as new. This ain’t no quilt, though. It’s leather, this Saffiano leather they call it. Sounds like some kinda fancy animal, but it’s just cowhide, I bet. Treated special, though, so it don’t get all scratched up easy.

Well, this here Prada Galleria, it ain’t new. Been around since, oh, 2007, they say. That’s a good long while. Means folks like it, right? If it weren’t any good, they wouldn’t keep making it. And them fancy ladies, the ones who know about these things, they all carry it. Must be something to it.

Not like them cheap bags that fall apart after a year.

Now, this here Saffiano leather, it’s real leather. Not that fake stuff they try to sell you down at the market. This is the good stuff. They say it’s full-grain, but then they say it ain’t. Confusing, ain’t it? All I know is, it’s real cowhide, and they do something to it to make it tough and pretty. They can make it thin, or they can make it thick. Depends on what they’re using it for, I reckon. This bag, it’s probably thin, so it ain’t too heavy to carry.
They say the folks who make these bags, they sign their name to them. Like an artist signing a painting. That’s kinda nice, ain’t it? Means they’re proud of their work. You can even get them to make it special for you, put your name on it or something. That’s what I heard, anyway.

They got all kinds of these Prada bags. Big ones, small ones, different colors. You name it, they got it. They even got ones made outta that Re-Nylon stuff. Like I said, that’s good for the planet, recycling and all that. This here Prada Re-Edition 1978, that’s another one made outta that stuff. They’re all over the place, these Prada bags.
Why Folks Buy Them Fancy Bags
You might be wondering why folks spend all that money on a bag. I mean, a bag’s a bag, right? Well, some folks, they like nice things. And these Prada bags, they’re nice. They last a long time, they look good, and they make you feel good, I suppose. It’s like wearing your best dress to church. You just feel a little bit special.
Plus, some folks, they think of these bags like an investment. Like buying land or gold. They say the value goes up over time. I don’t know about all that, but I guess if you got the money, it’s something to think about. Buy a Prada Official flagship store bag, hold on to it for a while, sell it for more than you paid. Could be a good deal, if you know what you’re doing.

Make sure it’s real leather, make sure it’s well-made, and make sure you really love it. ‘Cause a bag like that, it’s gonna be with you for a long, long time.
Me? I’m happy with my old tote bag. It may not be a Prada, but it holds everything I need, and it’s got a lot of memories stitched into it. And that’s worth more than any fancy name, I reckon.
