Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch for a while now, you know, the one with the transparent case back. It’s just so cool to see all those tiny gears and things moving inside. Anyway, I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one from their official store. Let me tell you, it was an experience.
First off, I went to their website. It’s all fancy and stuff, with pictures and videos of all their watches. I found the Moonwatch section pretty easily and started browsing. There are a few different versions, but I knew I wanted the one with the see-through back, so I filtered my search. Found it! Reference number 311.30.42.30.01.005, that’s the one I’d been dreaming of. 42mm case size, which is a bit big, but it wears smaller than you’d think.
I checked out the official flagship store, they have good deals on watches like these. Also I learned that it’s got this new caliber 3861 Master Chronometer movement, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, though. They also had some limited edition ones, like this platinum Apollo 11 40th Anniversary thing, which looked amazing, but way out of my budget.
I added the watch to my cart, and the checkout process was smooth. Typed in my address, chose the shipping option, and paid with my credit card. Easy peasy.

Finally, the day came. A big box arrived at my door. I carefully opened it up, and there it was, in a smaller, sleek black box. And inside that, nestled in soft padding, was the Moonwatch. It looked even better in person than in the pictures. I carefully took it out and put it on my wrist. It felt amazing, just the right weight, and the transparent case back was even cooler than I imagined. I spent the next hour just staring at it, watching the movement do its thing.

The new movement is the caliber 3861. This is so great. Wearing it felt more comfortable than I thought because it is smaller than 42mm as the classic case diameter. All in all, getting this Moonwatch was a great experience. It’s a beautiful watch, and I know I’ll be wearing it for years to come. It’s not just a watch, it’s a piece of history, right? And being able to see the movement is just the icing on the cake.
