Alright, so I wanted to get myself one of those fancy CopyOMEGA watches, you know, the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, the one with the open case back.
First off, I started asking around. I knew I needed to find a good place to buy one. Some folks told me to check out those specialty stores. They said that’s where you find the real deal, even if it’s a copy, and not some cheap knockoff.
Then, I started looking at pictures online. I mean, a lot of pictures. Gotta know what you’re getting into, right? I learned about this “crystal” thing they have on these watches. It’s not like a real crystal, more like super tough glass, called “Sapphire” something. Supposedly, it’s way tougher than the regular stuff, called “Hesalite,” and it lets you see the watch face better.
I also noticed the writing and the little logo on the watch face. The pictures of the real ones showed that stuff is super sharp and clear. I figured that’s one way to tell if it’s a good copy or not. Then there’s this thing on the back, some kind of laser mark, that’s supposed to help you make sure it’s not a total fake.
So, I went down to this store that a buddy told me about. They had all sorts of these CopyOMEGA watches. I spent a good chunk of time there, just looking them over, comparing them to all those pictures I saw online. I made sure the writing was clear, the logo looked right, and that laser mark was there on the back.
The folks at the store were pretty helpful. They told me these Speedmaster watches, or “Speedy” as they sometimes call them, are pretty tough, good for everyday wear. They also said that they usually hold their value, so it’s not like throwing money away.
- Looked at pictures: I spent hours online checking out pictures of real and copy Speedmasters.
- Checked the details: I made sure the fonts, logo, and dial markings were sharp, just like the real ones.
- Inspected the laser etching: I found the laser mark on the back, which is supposed to be a sign of a good copy.
- Visited a store: I went to a specialty store to see the watches in person.
After looking around, I finally found one that looked pretty darn good. It had that open case back so I could see all the little gears and things moving inside. Pretty cool, even if it makes a bit of noise!
I ended up buying it. It wasn’t cheap, but I felt good about it. I knew what to look for, and I took my time to find a good one. Plus, I got to see all those little parts working inside, which is what I really wanted.
Things I learned
- These watches have something called “Sapphire crystal” that’s super tough.
- The writing and logo on the dial should be really sharp.
- There’s a laser mark on the back you can check.
- These CopyOMEGA Speedmasters are supposed to be a decent deal.
So, yeah, that’s my story about getting a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the open case back. It was a bit of a journey, but I’m happy with my purchase.
